Dear Virgin Islanders,Since the last edition of the Bolques Bulletin, I’ve remained fully engaged—immersed and focused in legislative hearings, meetings, site visits, and community events that reflect the pulse of our people. Many of these moments are too numerous to list, but each one strengthens my resolve to serve you with purpose, humility, and unmatched dedication. Whether advancing healthcare, preserving culture, or supporting economic growth, my work on your behalf continues—with consistency and conviction. I believe leadership means showing up, listening, and taking action—and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. Here are just a few recent highlights: Attended the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the VI Diabetes Center of Excellence, expanding healthcare access for our residents. Toured Cruzan Rum, a cornerstone of our economy, to advocate for the strength of the Rum Cover-Over Program. Connected with the CDRA Board and attended the Cash Days Racing preview events, and met with and lobbied for support for the organization through VIPA and DSPR. Visited the Early Head Start facility with Lutheran Social Services to address pressing challenges and assisted them with WAPA issues. Licensing issues, and lobbied for appropriation. U.S. Virgin Islands – Senator Bolques and his team recently met with representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to discuss programs and resources available to small businesses in the territory. The meeting provided an in-depth overview of SBA initiatives, including access to capital, federal contracting assistance, technical support, and disaster recovery programs.

Le sénateur général Angel Bolques Jr. exprime sa profonde gratitude à ses collègues de la 35e législature des Îles Vierges pour leur soutien et leur approbation unanimes du projet de loi n° 35-0078. Cette législation désigne officiellement le « poisson et les champignons » comme plat national et la « tarte » comme dessert officiel des Îles Vierges.
